Easter Coding Camp
British Youth International college was delighted to offer a three-day games development boot camp for kids over the Easter holidays. The Coding camp aimed to teach Introductory Computer Game Design and Development, guiding children in creating both 2D and 3D games. Throughout the boot camp, the children learned Python programming, enabling them to develop 2D games in the console. They then explored the exciting world of 3D games using the popular game engine, Unreal Engine 4, widely used in creating console and PC games.
At the end of the three-day Coding Camp, the kids proudly showcased their fully functional 2D games to their friends and family at home. The boot camp utilised up-to-date game development toolkits, including Unreal Engine 4, allowing children to unleash their creativity and develop a game with only beginner’s knowledge in just three days.
The camp provided “Holidays learning with fun,” giving children a fantastic opportunity to dive into the world of coding and game development while enjoying their holiday break.
