Here at the British Youth International college we are pleased to announce that we are looking for young people to join us for IT Apprenticeships in Glasgow. Our IT Apprenticeships are for young people aged 16 – 19. Apprenticeships give young people an alternative route into the world of work, instead of College/University or a starting job which may not have formal training, an apprenticeship offers the chance to work for an employer, while gaining relevant IT training with us, here at BYITC.
Apprenticeships span the gap between working and studying, giving young people a chance of working while still learning valuable skills, all without £9000 a year of university debt! We will find you an employer where you will work for them for an agreed number of hours per week, while receiving a wage. Then, we will provide you training at intervals throughout the year.
This combination of work and formal training will be invaluable for your future plans, giving you work experience and skills. Work experience is one of the best things to have on your CV at any age, and getting this work experience with training will make you highly employable in a competitive market.
Although we are based in Glasgow, we provide apprenticeships are available for young people, aged 16 – 19 anywhere within the central belt in Scotland, including Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee. There will be more information to follow soon, but please keep an eye on our website and social media, here on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates.
