The British Youth International college is looking for a part time IT tutor of Computer Games Development. You will need to be a graduate or have very good experience in Computer Games Development.
The Company
British Youth International college (BYITC) is a private educational institution based in Glasgow, Scotland. We teach primary and secondary school kids computer skills that are essential in the modern age and will stand them in good stead for the rest of their education and for their future careers. We also run innovative maths classes for children using the ancient abacus tool and we are currently the only centre in Scotland that teaches this method. In addition, we run English classes, helping children improve a wide range of English skills such as spelling, grammar and reading comprehension.

Essential Qualities of Part Time IT Tutor
We are looking for a Part Time IT Tutor help teach computer games development to groups of young children. You will either have a related degree or have substantial experience in the field. Up-to-date subject knowledge is important as both children and their parents have high expectations.
Knowledge of the programming language Python and the game engine Unreal Engine 4 would be highly beneficial.
Ideal qualities of Part Time IT Tutor
The work involves tutoring young children, so ideally you will have a patient and understanding nature. An approachable and friendly disposition would be helpful. The role will involve classroom management and you will need to help the children overcome any problems.
Availability
Computing classes are held every week and in addition we run summer ‘boot camp’ classes, so availability during this period is required.
Working with children
Ideally, you will be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme and have a membership number which will allow us to apply for an update.
